Customer Question: HEPA Filter Sizing?

Customer Question:

We had a question from Brenda, who asked what would be an effective sized HEPA unit to remove airborne mold from her living/kitchen open floor plan room which was about 1,000.

204-112-2 A: You will probably need a couple of Large HEPA Filters to get complete coverage of that space. For example Whirlpool Whispure 510 Air Purifier are designed to cover approximately 500 square feet of room space. A HEPA filter is designed to fit certain sized room and then turn the air over once an hour. If you get an undersized unit it will still turn the air over but at a much slower rate increasing the chance you will come in contact with the allergen you are trying to avoid.
